The process of making our thriller introduced us to as world of movie making technology.

• How the camera works - from both sides. We learnt new skills such as camera angles (e.g over the shoulder and high angle) we also learnt filming techniques (e.g steady cam and shake cam). We also learnt how to act/position yourself when in front of the camera when acting.

• Editing using imovie and getting to grips with the techniques. We learnt how to make cuts clean and add in effects (e.g dissovle cut and fade cut). We also learnt the importance of continuity when filming so that everything makes sense when editing.

• Learning how to use a mac. We learnt and developed out skills when using the mac, we learnt how to use new programs such as imovie and final cut pro. We also learnt how to import videos form a camers onto the macs and create photos and animations using the macs.

• Using, inserting and selecting music along with sound editing. We learnt the importance of a good soundtrack to create tension and a scary atmosphere. We learnt how to edit songs so we could use the parts we wanted and how to transition each song into the next.

Our production skills began to develop as time went on, the improvement of using imovie really benefitted us. Along with technology we also became familiar with equipment such as tripods and lighting. All our skills have improved and learning all of this will help us in future projects.
